The Higgins Bedford: an Arts Award Supporter

The Higgins Bedford is happy to be an Arts Award Supporter.

If you are working towards an Arts Award qualification, there are many ways that you can collect evidence for your Award at The Higgins Bedford.

1. Being an audience member

Visit one of our free regularly changing exhibitions, record your visit with drawings or photographs and take a museum leaflet. You could write a review of the exhibition and share it with us.

Arts Award

2. Taking part in the arts

Join in one of our creative holiday activities, or if you are between 9 and 13 take part in The Higgins Art Studio workshops. You could get to exhibit your work as part of an arts event at The Higgins Bedford, such as our annual Big Draw event.

Arts Award

3. Exploring the work of other artists

Visit our exhibitions, or buy postcards or catalogues in The Higgins Bedford shop. Contact The Higgins Bedford, (by phone, email or letter), to find out more about a particular artist. Older students might want to attend our lunchtime talks or evening lectures, on specific artists or art movements.

Arts Award

Young people over the age of 18, doing their Silver or Gold Arts Award, can request to volunteer with specific arts activities at The Higgins Bedford and gain a behind-the-scenes look at a leading art gallery and museum.
