Calendar of Events at The Higgins Bedford

150 years of Goldings Ironmongers

We are celebrating 150 years of Goldings Ironmongers with a display in the Somewhere in England gallery. In 1867 William Day set up his Ironmongery business Day & Sons on the High Street; this was later to be taken over by William Golding in 1899.

We're celebrating the owners and staff and displaying some historic items from the shop storeroom that we hope will bring back memories for you.
