Tales of Colonel Frederick Burnaby


Join Vicki as she reads a story from the Tales of Colonel Frederick Burnaby. The famous Victorian Bedfordian was known for his great strength and daring, world-wide travelling adventures, hot air ballooning escapades and eventful military career. A ‘larger than life’ man, who was very much of his time. (Suitable for ages 7+)

Kevin's Create at Home Challenges


Join Kevin the Platypus in creative challenges that can be done from the comfort of your own home. 


Here you can find some ideas to help you get started:


Challenge 1: Transform yourself in to a fantastic creepy crawly. 


Beautiful Butterfly Wings (you could decorate with colourful autumn leaves, instead of sweet wrappers)

Become a Bee or a Ladybird (using duct tape)


Challenge 2: Create a Spectacular Hat.


You could decorate an old hat you have at home (or pick one up from a local charity shop), or make one from materials you can find.

Challenge 3: Create a Roman, Viking or Saxon outfit


You could make an outfit for yourself, dress up a doll, or create a puppet. Or if you don't want to make an outfit, how about designing one on paper, or drawing around yourself on a big piece of card and paper and collage an oufit onto that.
