Sowing seeds in recyclable plant pots – Weds 24th July, 11.00 - 13.00
Plant seeds in creative and sustainable ways, for example in egg boxes, containers and bottles. Make your own recyclable plant pot and sow with seeds – take yours away and watch them grow. Practice maths and money skills in this eco-friendly activity.
Make a wildflower seed ball – Weds 31st July, 11.00 – 13.00
Get your ‘green fingers’ ready to make some soil balls filled with wildflower* seeds to plant and watch your flowers bloom! (*Subject to season).
Build a Bee Hotel – Weds 14th August, 11.00 – 13.00
This workshop explores size, shape, area and volume to create your very own bee hotel. Using recycled resources, create a lovely habitat from recyclable materials to support our bee population!
Origami paper crafts – Weds 21st August, 11.00 – 13.00
Learn the first steps to the art of origami for beginners. Practice shape and symmetry skills to fold paper into pretty 3-dimentional objects to create beautiful decorative shapes such as lily and lotus flowers, boxes and bookmarks.
Mindfulness maths – Weds 28th August, 11.00 – 13.00
Our wellbeing is important, and ‘mindfulness’ is a technique allowing us to become more aware of our surroundings and our feelings. This workshop will help you practice mindfulness, whilst creating beautiful artwork pieces using useful numeracy skills.
