Try your hand at painting with amazing neon paints in this amazing, vibrant workshop from Art School Tsymbal.
*This workshop involves working in very low light – to see the effect of the neon paint.

Fiona Wilson – Colour and Impact Art Workshop
FREE Event – Drop-in 11am – 1.30pm and 2 – 4pm
Suitable for all ages and inspired by artist Sonia Delaunay, this fun and engaging session focuses on the visual impact and emotive values of colour. Working with concentric circles to reflect Delaunay’s work and to represent connections within our community, we’ll explore how colours react and behave differently when placed together to create artworks with vibrancy, harmony and balance.
Mindfulness & Massage – Mindful Storytelling
FREE Event – No need to book 1.30pm, 2pm and 2.30
Come and join us (Mindfulness & Massage) for story telling with touch (Story Massage) and interactive mindful games. This is a calming and fun activity for the whole family. Sessions starting at 1.30, 2pm, 2.30.
Bob Collins - Willow Weaving
FREE Event – Drop-in 11am – 4pm
Come and take part and learn how to weave a willow star or fish using natural material.
All willow and tools provided, younger people may need adult help.
Mend Up Crewe
FREE Event – Drop-in 11am – 4pm
Do you have clothes that need mending? No problem. Bring them along and visit The Mend Up Crewe to get advice on how to fix and repair them. Learn about the radical art of make-do and mend with the team.
Plant Stall
11am – 2pm
Snap up some bargains for your home and garden at the plant stall. All of the plants are donated by volunteers – and all of the proceeds from the stall go towards supporting our team of garden volunteers.

Cultural Roots Sound System Museum

Meet and greet the curators of the Cultural Roots Sound System Museum, started in 1979 this collective provided valuable entertainment to the Caribbean community in Bedford. Come and discover the equipment and the music of the Sound System. On display at The Higgins Bedford from 7th October – 28th April.
The Higgins Bedford will join hundreds of Fun Palaces nationally and internationally set to explode with free and fun activities for all.

This Fun Palace was created by many local people sharing and celebrating their skills with all of us. Join us this weekend and master new skills, share hobbies with friends old and new, and celebrate the passions and enthusiasms of all of us.
Fun Palaces is an ongoing national and international campaign, nurturing and supporting the potential and positivity of sharing people’s enthusiasms, passions and skills with their own local community. Fun Palaces has an annual weekend of events each October, although Fun Palaces can also happen at any time of year.
