Enjoy a wide-range of FREE activities and demonstrations as part of British Science Week on Saturday 11th March at The Higgins Bedford, John Bunyan Museum and Panacea Museum.
At The Higgins Bedford
Circuit-making and semi-conductors with Bourns Free drop-in 11am – 4pm age 8+
Bourns who are celebrating 75 years of being based in Bedford will be running a circuit-making workshop – suitable for children aged 8+ free drop-in 11am – 4pm
Bourns will be showing a video showing how they make semi-conductor wafers and visitors will be able to see some wafers close-up.
Science demonstrations and activities with Bedford Modern School Free drop-in 11am – 4pm all ages
Staff and students from Bedford Modern School Science department will be delivering some exciting science demonstrations in the foyer and the courtyard. There will be hands-on activities too including a plasma ball, lasers and microscopes.
Little Science Lab – Dry-ice Volcanos! Booking Essential Age 4+
Enjoy this super exciting hands-on experiment making dry-ice volcanos. Workshops last for 30 minutes. Places are limited and booking is essential. Only participating children need to book places, not their supporting adults. Workshops are at 11.15am, 12noon, and 1.15pm. Book here

Felt Sushi Making with Anne-Marie Abbate Free drop-in 11am – 3pm
Make amazing felt sushi models in this artist-led workshop with Anne-Marie Abbate.
Ebru Masterclass with Art Studio Tsymbal Booking Essential
Learn how to make amazing marbled artworks in this fun masterclass with Art Studio Tsymbal. Places are limited and booking is essential. Only participating children need to book places, not their supporting adults. Workshops are at 1.40pm and 2.40pm (at the John Bunyan Museum).
